Waqfe Nau Ijtema Finland
By the grace and blessings of Allah Almighty, Jamaat Ahmadiyya Finland had the opportunity to hold the Annual Waqf-e-Nau Convention on December 21st-22nd, 2024. This convention marked the 9th Waqf-e-Nau (male) convention and the 8th Waqf-e-Nau (female) convention. Both conventions were held at the mosque. A special organizing committee was formed for the Waqf-e-Nau events, with the objective of not only developing the religious knowledge of the participants but also giving them expertise in administrative and Jamaat affairs.
Opening Ceremony:
The convention began on the morning of December 21st at 9:30 AM with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After the recitation and the national anthem, I (National Secretary Waqf-e-Nau) welcomed the attendees and briefed them about the schedule of the convention. Respected Shahid Mahmood Kahlon Sahib, Missionary-in-Charge, in his opening speech, shed light on the responsibilities and training of Waqf-e-Nau, in line with the advice of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah strengthen him with His help).
Educational Competitions:
At 10:15 AM, the educational competitions for Waqf-e-Nau and Waqf-e-Nau (female) were held. The participants were divided into five groups based on their age. The competitions included recitation of the Quran, memorization of the Quran, poetry, impromptu speeches, and religious knowledge. The Waqf-e-Nau (female) competitions were held in the presence of Sadr Lajna Imaillah Finland in the women’s hall. The younger children also participated with great enthusiasm.
Prayers & Meals:
At 1:30 PM, Zuhr and Asr prayers were offered, followed by lunch for all attendees.
Sports Competitions:
At 2:45 PM, the Waqf-e-Nau participants aged 15 and above headed to the sports hall for their sports competitions. Meanwhile, the older Waqf-e-Nau members participated in educational competitions in the mosque, and the younger children enjoyed their sports activities.
Seminar:
At 6:00 PM, a seminar for Waqf-e-Nau was held, where the parents of the participants were also invited. The seminar included a recitation of the Quran, poetry, and a speech in Finnish. Afterward, I presented the annual report. The Missionary-in-Charge delivered a speech on the responsibilities of parents and reminded them of the advice from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah strengthen him with His help) on the upbringing of children.
Distribution of Prizes:
At the end of the first day, Waqf-e-Nau members aged 4-15 years received prizes. The day concluded after Maghrib and Isha prayers.
Closing Ceremony:
The second day of the convention started at 10:00 AM. The educational competitions for the older Waqf-e-Nau members and the sports activities for the Waqf-e-Nau (female) participants were held. Zuhr and Asr prayers were offered at 1:30 PM, followed by lunch.
At 2:30 PM, the closing ceremony was held, where Respected Ataul Ghalib Sahib, National President, delivered a speech on the responsibilities of Waqf-e-Nau. Following that, the prize distribution took place for those participants aged 15 and above who had excelled in their competitions. The event concluded with a dua.
Attendance:
By the grace of Allah, the convention was attended by 86 Waqf-e-Nau members, with a total of 156 attendees. Alhamdulillah!
