Holy Qur’an Exhibition in Joensuu, Finland | 21 April 2026
On 21 April 2026, an exhibition of the Holy Qur’an was inaugurated in the city of Joensuu, Finland. The exhibition, organized by Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Finland, will continue for approximately three weeks and is expected to attract a large number of visitors.
The exhibition presents translations of the Holy Qur’an in 36 different languages, highlighting its universal message for people of all backgrounds. Among these is the Finnish translation, recently prepared by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, making the teachings of the Qur’an more accessible to Finnish speakers.
The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Mayor Jere Penttilä. The opening ceremony was attended by the library director, distinguished guests, and members of the local community. In his address, the Mayor appreciated the initiative, noting that the Holy Qur’an serves not only as a religious text but also as a source of moral guidance, knowledge, and cultural influence across societies. He emphasized that such exhibitions promote understanding, curiosity, and mutual respect.
A local newspaper reporter from Karjalainen, Aaro Virolainen, covered the event and conducted an interview with Imam Shahid Mahmood Kahloon, Missionary-in-Charge of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Finland. During the interview, he introduced the community and its core message, “Love for All, Hatred for None,” highlighting the importance of peace, loyalty, and positive contribution to society.
The exhibition was organized through the dedicated efforts of community members and representatives who traveled to Joensuu to arrange the event, reflecting a strong commitment to promoting dialogue, understanding, and harmony among diverse communities.
