We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the Jewish community in Australia and worldwide, and to all families affected by this tragedy.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Finland expresses its deepest sympathy and profound sorrow in the wake of the brutal terrorist attack in Sydney. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, the bereaved, and the Jewish community affected by this senseless act of violence.

We unequivocally condemn all forms of terrorism, hatred, and violence directed at individuals on the basis of their faith, identity, or belonging. Such acts stand in fundamental opposition to the core values of Islam, as well as to all religious and humanistic principles.

Following the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has said:

“Nothing can ever justify such acts of violence. Islam upholds the absolute sanctity of human life and declares that the killing of one innocent person is tantamount to killing all of humanity. Acts of terrorism and hatred are therefore completely contrary to the true teachings of Islam.”

In times such as these, it is vital that faith and belief communities stand united. Regardless of religious background, we share a common responsibility to promote peace, human dignity, and mutual respect.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Finland stands in solidarity with the Jewish community and all those impacted by this tragedy. We call for unity across religions and cultures, and for responding to hatred with understanding, dialogue, and a shared commitment to peace.

May those who lost their lives rest in peace and may the bereaved find strength and comfort.
